Let me tell you about this little guys disposition... it gives me hope for the babies to come... he hardly fussed, sat content wherever he was at the moment, and puts himself to sleep already!! Now, dont get me wrong, his family has worked hard to teach him to nap but to have a baby who will hang out somewhere for more than 10 mins without getting bored... thats a blessing. From the moment Bright came out of this chubby belly, he was non-stop and always wanting to see new things. At Calebs age, he wouldnt hang out anywhere more than the time it took me to run and tinkle (sorry thats the best example I could come up with to show you that its not a long time..haha.)
During the morning and afternoon, Bright and Caleb actually had overlapping naps and were quite peaceful while they were both awake... both do let you know when they want to eat though :) I was able to sit and read my Bible for 30 mins during the morning naps (didnt think it was going to happen until I was in bed last night.) I also made lasagna and enough dinner for us and Calebs parents while Bright ate lunch in his booster seat and Caleb hung out in the infant rocker.
Bright, the sweet hearted sharing child that he is, couldnt quite grasp why Caleb wouldnt eat his cheerios or drink from his sippy cup. Bright would try to play toys with Caleb, but Caleb never quite looked interested in anything Bright had to offer him. Bright even knew that the bottle was for babies and tried to offer Caleb the rest of his meal, but Caleb was already full and wasnt fond of the bottle at that moment. Caleb is a tough little fella, he took all of Bright's kisses and huggies and snuggles quite well.. they actually made him smile and coo most of the time.
Now, the day wasn't all easy breezy... there was the moment when Bright was crying (aka teething mad about something that I cant remember now) I was trying to feed Caleb who needed to burb, the dog was barking and the phone was ringing from a sweet friend with an update about our friend who was having surgery yesterday morning... but that too was just a fleeting moment and was over as fast as it began :)
All in all.. it was a really good day and Ive realized how much work the Lord has done on my heart, He is equpping me in ways that I wouldnt notice unless put in a new situation and He has bestowed wisdom upon me (even down to really being multitasking and learning to contemplate/analyze the easiet and most efficient ways to do things!!) I do know, that I would of never been able to have twins first... because there are too many things I needed to learn with one before I would ever dare to dream of two :) So theres hope for whenever the Lord shows us that its time to shepard another blessing into this world... its not quite so scary but then again Im not post csection, up in the night nursing a newborn and having hormonal breakdowns either!! Even whenever that day comes... I stand firm on the truth that HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT even then :)
Brighton and Caleb.. their first greeting and initial hellos. As you can see, Bright also got the first smile of the day too...

Macey Mae also got her playtime in with Caleb while Bright was napping. She is so incredibly sweet and gentle with little kids, youd probably never know being that shes in super spaz mode when we have adult visitors!! She sat right beside Caleb just like she used to when Bright was not mobile yet :) Now she runs away.. she aint no fool... haha!!

Just thought this was cute... Caleb loved all the new toys to play with here... and Becca enjoyed bringing out all the retired items from Brighton's closet!!

And this is a shout out to the most easy going and sweet little guy Ive ever watched... and his hardworking Mommy and Daddy who have trained him up well and hes only a little over 2 months (again thanking the Lord for eat, wake, sleep cycles!!)

Now unto my completed and wonderfully successful project for the week...
the TASK: to find a way to reorgainze and rearrange Brighton's room without purchasing anything (ie bookcases)
the PURPOSE: to reinvent a way to achieve a welcoming, hospitable family room (child friendly of course) and not have to trip over a 100' toy trucks/cars and blocks... also to teach Bright about personal space and to give him an environment that we could maintain once we move from this house and out of Wake Forest.
The RESULTS (and no it doesnt stay this clean during the day!)

I love my fall wreath and garland... taste of NC!!

Bookbasket is one of my better ideas so far!!

My favorite thing is the trucks that now line all of our windows.... can't help but make you smile :)

Gotta love the hamper now turned into stuff animal bin :)

No boys room is complete without his own fort... and let me tell you... HE LOVES IT!!

Note the super cute cord blazer and navy peacoat... I can dress him up handsome and warm! Who needs a little girl :)
