Lots of news!!

Update on Gramps: Gramps is home now recovering from his spinal/neck surgery. It was a very difficult and complicated surgery. Very thankful that he made it through, woke up well and able to talk and move. A sweet family in the surgery waiting room did not get such good news as we did... it was very sad. Recovery has been very difficult, ebb and flow, progress and regression. Please continue to pray for him.. for God to heal his body, to suffer well through the intense pain, to continue basic processes on his own such as breathing and swallowing and keep hydrated. I have to say that since his surgery it has made living in TN feel MUCH further away.

Update on the house: I flew in last Friday from Miami (Gramps hospital) and drove directly to the mortgage company where we closed on our new house!! What a praise!! We have been doing some update work this week and hope to finish painting Brights room tomorrow and do the big move on Saturday with the help of some couples that we have coerced into lending us their muscles :) We are so ready to be there and unpack for the first time in 3-4 months!!

Update on this little one within: The baby is about 7 inches crown to rump (head to rear) but not including the length of the legs. The babys weight is approximately 10 ounces. We were able to see our sweet little one this past Tuesday afternoon for our 20 week ultrasound... healthy, growing well and we were very surprised to find out that we are having a GIRL!! John said he knew it was a girl as well as many others said the same thing, I was convinced we were having another boy but am looking forward to her arrival. As soon as we get things finished up on the house, we will start picking out fabrics and furniture for her nursery. From all boy to all girl... too fun :)

We will hopefully be able to upload photos and have more regular email/blogging correspondence after we get settled in so we can show you our new home and some ultrasound pics!!

We love you all and are so thankful for all the many incredible family and friends that the Lord has blessed our lives with. Our cup does overfloweth....
