Martin Luther and his 95 Theses tied around the waist!!

Mommy's creativity went into action during the second nap yesterday:
Put Brighton in his brown sweat pants and brown shoes... took one of her dress shirts thats scoop neck with 3/4 length sleeves and pinned it so it would stay over his head and not fall off. Then she took black ribbon and laced the sleeves up through the neck so that they wouldnt be too long and get in the way!! For his belt, she used an old fabric ribbon that used to tie up a throw from last fall. On the "belt" she tied a scroll with raffia and a paper charm that read "95". Under his monk robe hed wear a white shirt that read....

"Reformation
Im so thankful..
for the change!"
Incase you hadnt read to the bottom of our blog from yesterday, Oct 31st is Reformation Day!! What is that you may ask, as many people do!! Well, here's is a very brief synopsis...
It commemorates Martin Luther's posting of his Ninety-five Theses on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany on October 31st, 1517. This act triggered the movement in world history known as the Reformation. In honor of Martin Luther and other Christians who took a stand, fought with all might and removed false doctrine and destructive practices from the Christian church. For it is by faith and grace of Jesus that we are radically saved and changed, not by works alone!

Here are some random yet funny pics from our porch play the last few days!!
Macey and Benson sunning themselves, the only warm place in the house when its cold outside! They really do get along :)

And now for the good laugh. The other afternoon, I was reading the mail on the coach and could see Brighton playing on the back porch!! About 2 mins later, I heard crying and walked out there to find: no toddler in sight. I started to panic in my heart because the cry sounded far away!! I thought to myself "oh no, he fell through the screen and between the 6 in wooden slats that surround the porch!!" How silly a thought, because our chubby cat cant even fit through them well. I looked all around, completely baffled as the crying for more intentional. Thats when I looked down... and noticed the door of our small cat carried open.... and.... it was wiggling!! This is what I found:

Now lets be honest, he wasnt hurt and well, I didnt have the camera on me. So I ran inside, grabbed it, turned it on... all the while he started crying harder and harder because I left the porch for a split second. And the crying continued just long enough for me to take two shots. Dont they just make you chuckle... I was laughing so hard my abs and face hurt!!

So once I composed myself (I didnt want him to see me laughing at him).... I took the carrier apart and got him out. Honestly, I dont know how he fit to get in, in the first place. He wasnt traumatized and once he calmed down... what did he do? Tried to crawl in there again!! The joys of boys!!
