Memorial Day was a blast!! It ended up just being the families from SG with little kids!! The kids swam and played with side walk chalk... the mommies chatted, chased children and ate... the guys grilled out, played bean bag toss and flew the dragon fly around (yes that is exciting for grown men too!!) Tomorrow is our 5 year anniversary!! We can't believe how quickly the time has gone by and how gracious God is to us!! When we got married in '03, we would of never expected our lives to look this way... we couldn't even picture 5 years later :) We love each other more and probably get along better than ever.... that is a HUGE blessing!! Makes us want to strive that much harder to keep the next 5, 10, 50 years even sweeter, more protected and precious in the Lord!! There are a lot of things going on in this world that Satan is STRIVING to use to rip apart marriages... unfortunately he is succeeding in places you would never expect and in relationships that you would never imagine!! Please pray for us... that God would be the center of our marriage and that we would grow to love and be faithful to one another even more!!

The plan was:
The actual weekend was going to be laid back.. maybe get some dinner and see a movie. One of the SG peeps watch Bright, etc. Then family vacation to celebrate from June 2-June 10th we will be headed down to FL to visit with some friends in the northern part of the state... and then we will be headed to Anna Maria Island to stay at a cottage on the beach!! This is our first vacation EVER... other than our honeymoon!! We are so excited to experience it together and to celebrate with Brighton Wade!!
Now... we will be leaving tomorrow morning (planned Weds night) to faithfully obey something that the Lord has presented to us in another state in the form of a unique ministry opportunity. Will you please pray for us this weekend? It has come from WAY OFF our radar but totally on God's at this time. It is nothing we were expecting or looking for but for some reason He continues to prompt us and open doors... so we will follow Him wherever He leads and continue this path until we receive confirmation. I do not wish to disclose any more information until things are solidified and we know whether or not His plan is for us to "go!" Pray that we will be faithful like Philip and Ananias (1st time obedience though) to "rise and go" any time that He prompts us.. funny that was my QT the past 3 days!! Pray for a smooth transition for Bright and His wisdom/discernment on our part and the part of the parties we are meeting with.
We get back in Sunday night late... and leave Monday for vacation!!
But catch this good news.... I get my wonderful husband and precious son by my side for the next 11 days STRAIGHT!! Now that is the best anniversary present a gal could ask for :)
