It's raining, it's pouring...

Hello dear friends...

An update on us.. well, its Saturday March 29th and we are still hanging out in FL. Why?... you might ask. Well, we were scheduled to fly out Thursday but switched our flight to Friday due to scheduling complications. Wednesday night and Thursday Bright ended up being tremendously fussy and pulling on his ears.. along with stomach flu symptoms that spanned another 9-10 days. We took him to one of the walk in clinics here that night to find out that he has a set of ear infections from his congestion and runny nose.. the day the stomach flu symptoms subsided (and he is majorly teething.) Can the poor kid catch a break? He is such a trooper and I am so thankful for the Lord's grace and strength that can be ours in Him!!

Needless to say, Bright and Mommy are missing Daddy bunches!! There are no flights out of here Monday or Tuesday so we are going to be staying around until we can fly to Louisville for a wedding next weekend. Daddy is going to drive up Friday night to meet us at the Ward's house. I pretty much feel like a gyspie now and am getting very used to guest bedrooms and the blow up mattress!! Thank goodness for a flexible toddler who bounces back quickly and sleeps like a champ and for a Grammy and Gramps that despite their bouts with the stomach flu (YUCK!!) they were willing to sacrifice for us!!

Bright and I on Easter... we went to church, had an Easter Egg hunt at the Karon's home and then ate a yummy dinner with Gramps and Uncle Eric.



Bright LOVED hunting and collecting the eggs... so much so that once he was done he poured out his Tonka basket and wanted to start over :)


In between Bright's bouts with the runs.. we managed to get him to the Loggerhead Marine Life Center... they rescue and help local sea turtles recover!! I used to go here when I was little.. what a blessing to be able to take Bright and teach him about these precious creatures that the Lord has created!! HE LOVED IT!! This little guy's name is Jonah (he was found in the mouth of a bait fish as a hatchling) and he will be released in April!! Whoo hoo!!


Every year, there are baby ducks near Grammy's condo. Bright thoroughly enjoys feeding (and chasing... hes a boy, what do we expect..haha) We go searching for them just about every day!! Bright is much sweeter and more distracted when we are out of the house.. so even finding the "duck baby" is a great field trip!!


During our tour of Florida... be sure that I have been hitting up every JoAnns a girl can find!! Thanks Nathalie and Grammy :) I have collected quite a bit of fabric, made Nathalie a baby wrap/pocket, Grammy & I have mastered a great bib pattern and even sewn myself a new dress!!



Outside of a lot of sickness.. we have had a wonderful visit in Florida, with family and old friends!! Thank you to everyone who has gone out of their way to serve and visit with us while we have been in FL and those who have been loving on my husband while we are away!!
