As we were driving to and fro this morning... post office, bank, drs office, pharmacy, around town to waste time, etc.... I noticed that the leaves have never looked more vibrant and beautiful!! It is a privilege and a blessing to live somewhere like this, and living here now for 3.5 years its become "normal!" I didnt grow up with seasons... I grew up with sunshine, warm sand, palm trees and a 80 degree Christmas morning (now thats a blessing too of a different nature!!)
When you see all the bright reds, piercing yellows, deep purples, ripe oranges... I get a distinct picture in my mind. God's Word says that the trees, rocks, mountains, prairies, valleys, etc... they all worship Him... they call out and sing of His glory and power, bursting forth all around the earth!! Cant you see it?? Can you see the trees swaying from side to side in dance, their branches lifted high in worship and their amazing colors as their voices... beckoning us to turn our hearts to Him!! The cool air that captures your lungs... reviving and piercing... like the way that He refreshes us after the heat and blazing scorches. Its not just some random way that the earth evolves/revolves each year... even seasons have a purpose in His divine plan, His glory and His ways!!
Oh how He longs to reach us in the deepest part of our being!!!
