The latest on our little sponge, Bright.
John has been dialoguing with him for a few months now teaching him the fundamentals of Christian beliefs. I have been astounded at the capacity with which Bright can memorize but also apply these truths (along with scripture) to many different aspects of life. I thought maybe he was just remembering the sequence... however, he can pull out any Q/A and apply it to a situation. Several of you have asked about this as you have heard Bright randomly answer ?s or us practicing... so heres where we are at today:
John: Who made you?
Bright: God made me
J: What else did God make?
B: (He inserts a list of whatever he is thinking about and then) ALL things
J: Why did God make you and all things?
B: For his own glory- He gets REALLY loud when he says glory :)
J: How can you glorify God?
B: By loving him and obeying him (when he wants to get your goat, he says "disobeying him"... strong willed child!)
J: Why do we glorify God?
B: Because he made me and takes care of me
J: Are there more gods than one?
B: There is only one God
J: In how many persons does this one God exist?
B: In three persons
J: Who are they?
B: The Father, the Son and Spirit
J: Q. Who is God?
B: Hes a Spirit, he does not have a body
J: Where is God?
B: Everywhere
J:Q. Can you see God?
B: No. I cant see God but he sees me
J: Does God know all things?
B: Yes. Nothing is hidden from Him.
Yeah, thats 12 out of 145 :) Some day!

Ive been praying about and thinking about needing to insert some sort of biblical educational plan for a small part of our days now that things have slowed down from the summer. Bright is so hungry to learn, to read, to write, to experiment and be poured into. I came across this INCREDIBLE website while on another blog site. Such an answer to prayer because it is free, online, full of wonderful ideas and gives the ability to tweak for each child and our family. It is literally everything Ive wanted but have not had time to organize or initiate on my own!! It was written by a stay at home mom who thoroughly understands wiggly and unable to focus more than a few minutes at a time... and is easy to implement the lessons throughout our week!! Many of the books and resources we already own or have access to... and the main teaching tool is the Bible.
Here is the 3 year old Curriculum, but I would encourage you to check out the entire site:

Here is the blogsite that I pulled it from... many times it encourages my heart and gets me researching and thinking:

Our library here in Savannah is starting up their preschool reading time a week from today, so we are so looking forward to that and also just accessing the plethora of things at the library itself :) Thatll be our Reading Tuesday time.

Another neat idea that we just signed up for (but Ive heard about since we moved to TN) is Imagination Library.
http://www.imaginationlibrary.com/
You register online or at your local participating library (if they dont have it you can contact someone and be proactive about starting it.) You can register any child under the age of 5... and I believe they receive a free book monthly until their 5th birthday. And trust me, from what Ive seen... it is worth your while to take a few mins to fill out the registration cause they are sending really good books... many of which are ones on the recommended Preschool Reading List.

We LOVE ABC Jesus Loves me :) We've been picking and choosing (doing songs and some motor skill things) Keaton loves it :) He's no where near ready to read and write yet, but, I figure it's not going to hurt him starting early! :)
So fun to hear what ya'll are up to!
You are greatly missed back in WF!
