Ok really, come on now!

You know what? I am very thankful that my God does not give more than we can handle. I am also so thankful that He supplies for every need. I dont know where I would be after a day like today... probably insane and certainly not smiling :)

This morning, I was bold and courageous!! Very bold!! I told my husband not to bother taking the things to the post office because I was going to do it ALONE. Yes, its been 8 weeks and thankfully I have not had to go anywhere but to and from church with the two kids yet. But TODAY WAS THE DAY! I planned the trip in my head, made all necessary preparations and we were ready.

I loaded up Macey into the back of the truck (because I did not feel like adding covering the couches to the list of things to get prepared)... then Brighton into the 4Runner which still smells like vomit from his cough turn to vomit episode on Sunday afternoon after our Spaghetti Fundraising Lunch (dont imagine the smell please!) Then I went back inside for Raelyn who was screaming strapped in her carrier. Got her clicked in. Backed the truck out partially... ran back inside now that there was room to load up the exersaucer and bouncy seat to drop off at the Holloways house after we hit the post office.

Got in the truck... rolled down the back window for Macey to sniff the breeze... and we were off. Decided on the way to the post office that we were going to drive out of Savannah and over the Tennessee River bridge since the kids were all out of school today for flood advisory. Man, that was a site to see, really, if you live here... go drive over the bridge.... was it worth the sacrifice? You decide at the end of this chain of events!!

Made it to the next town, busted a "U"ie and headed back into Savannah to the post office. Got both the kids in and three packages (one of which I had to put together inside.) Bright was SUPER well behaved (thank you Lord literally)... we got the packages sent off, Bright got a poppop from the sweet mail lady. Headed back out to the truck... while loading up the kids this sweet old man walks up and says "Excuse me maam?" I respond with a smile. He says as he is pointing to the front of the 4Runner, "I think you might have a flat tire, it looks really low. Didnt know if you noticed. Maybe its a nail?" I kindly thank him for the warning thinking I just need air probably. Buckle Bright in... check the tire... DANG!!!!

OH yeah, its flat. MY FIRST FLAT TIRE IN THE HISTORY OF DRIVING (14 years people!!) And I probably picked up the nail or whatever when I did my uturn after the bridge. So here I sit in the parking lot, a 2.5 year old sucking a lolly pop with a runny nose, an 8 week old trying to go to sleep, an 80 lb weimaraner sharing our tiny trunk with an exercauser. My huge diaper bag on the console and a bouncy seat in the passenger seat. NICE!!!!!!!

Praise God (literally again) that we live in a small town and that my wonderful husband has a job that he can run to a need at almost any time (like stitches in a 2 year old or flat tires) and is close by!! I called him and he said he would come look at it before we should drive it to Phils shop.

I call the Holloways and tell Jleigh I might not make it with the toys cause we have a flat. They were on their way out to run errands so they would just come grab the stuff while we were changing the tire or whatever.

Ok... long story short. John arrives and starts working on the truck in his nice jeans and button down shirt (I LOVE HIM!!) People in Savannah are VERY helpful and sweet... something we have known since we visited the first time! We had several people offer to help and assess and took one gentleman up on the offer of one of his tools since our was back in the garage at the house. John got the 4 Runner up but the jack was AWFUL. He got the HUGE spare tire out but the tires have the infamous Toyota lock bolt.... the unlocker was a cheap remake and ended up stripped. So here we are up in the air, spare out, all but one bolt off... when we realize we can NOT proceed any further!! Praise God for sweet Phil Cromwell.... John called him to ask about the bolt unlocker and he offered to have his guys come pick it up from the shop and take care of it!!

So now we have to transport everything back home. The Holloways show up... take the toys and Macey back home (thank you!)
and we load up the kids and all the mail into the Corolla.

Blah blah blah... we are home. Their little girl stays to play with Bright. They get back to pick her up... we are talking in the kitchen when we hear a weird squeeking noise. And for the FIRST TIME EVER... Bright has written across the kitchen wall. And not with crayon or pencil mind you.... but TURQUOISE PERMANENT MARKER on our tan walls. AHHHHHHHHHHH!! Praise God again for His provision... the wonderful invention of the Magic Eraser. Marker came off along with one small coat of paint but hey... whatever. Thankfully the man who built our house left us all the extra paint for moments such as these that God knew would be ahead of us.

They leave... Raelyns getting sleepy. I get Bright on the potty. Get Raelyn ready for her nap. Bright goes potty... and this is why even though my husband and other people make fun of me... this is why when I find one product I stick to it until they stop making it..... I go to wipe his behind, the toilet paper rips and I smear toddler poop from the tip of my middle finger to my wrist!! And now we shall go back to the Cottonelle Aloe and E Green package... it never rips on that tiny hiny.

Happy Wednesday... SATAN, YOU WILL NOT STEAL MY JOY!! We will have a day of ministry and we will be successful in Jesus tonight no matter what you try to do!!

Thank you Jesus for your provision and grace!!

And this mama is outtie... Ive got just enough time while both kids are down to shower, read and start the next eat, wake, sleep cycle with Raelyn!!

Becca! This is craziness:) And, the reason why I don't venture out too often with all my kids and no daddy! I am glad you don't let Satan steal your joy! Keep smiling, mama!
