Week 37

Today, we started week 37.... and well, for the past 10 days the contractions have been increasingly uncomfortable and of course, we are at the point where nothing fits, no position (sitting, standing, laying) feels good and we are just "big." We started our weekly appts this afternoon. I actually packed "the bag", bought some necessities from the store for Bright to hold over on... it was the first appt that I wasn't sure if I would come home or not as one or two persons :) But Im blogging, so I guess we know the answer!!

We are still progressing quickly... but the doctor said we are not a full fledged "go" yet!! We are measuring on schedule now, which prior to this visit we were 2 weeks ahead... so growth has definitely slowed down, room has definitely ceased to exist in the small little space of a womb :) So he sent me home... telling me to keep timing the contractions and if we get 2 minutes closer to call in and make a trip to the OB floor. We shall see.... if we don't hit full on labor in the next 6 days we will reassess on Tuesday. He still has quite a fear of me rupturing and that too many excessive contractions in a half uterus could put a strain on the baby.

John will be away this Friday and until late Saturday so we are praying that we either go beforehand or afterwards!! Don't worry we have a plan for every possible path that we have thought of :) But we would covet your prayers during this time!! On a personal end, please pray that I would "suffer" well and be Christ-like through it all... especially knowing that I may feel like this for 15 more days if we make it to our scheduled date of March 19th!! Im already hurting way worse than I did the night I was in labor with Bright.
