These are the days!!

I've been contemplating over the past week with a grateful heart to the Lord... could life this side of Heaven be any better than as wonderful as things are right now?? I speak in reference to the blessing that I have to stay home with Brighton Wade and any other children that the Lord may bestow us with. I remember being ashamed (in a sense) growing up in high school and especially college that I had no "career goals"... my heart aspired to be a wife and a mommy more than anything in the entire world. I've realized outside of loving the Lord... I had the best goals all along and I am living in the blessing of them all every day!!

I was sitting on Bright's bedroom floor with him the other day... playing and building with Legos. Right then... it hit me that I have the BEST life ever!! I spend my day building towers, making shapes in play dough, coloring, running around, laughing, splashing, reading books, tickling, singing, praying in 1/2 english 1/2 jibberish with a child, our precious child. Bright's heart and mind are growing so rapidly (as is his stature)... this week he has started learning his colors and able to pick out letters in the alphabet. He is singing all the time, wanting to pray constantly and reading the Bible. We race trucks around the house, hunt for school buses while we are driving, talk about Daddy, have snacks with baby dolls at the table, attempt to ride Macey like a pony... and so much more. I have a helper who cooks with me, straightens up with me, washes with me, grocery shops with me :)

It's moments like these (and many others) that I thank the Lord for my husband... for the fact that he is willing to go without (fine foods, boy toys, etc) and will work his heart out so we can raise our son at home and have the amazing blessing of fostering Bright's growth (both in learning and in the Lord!!)

We are extravagantly blessed in Him!!
