Valentines Day, 1st Haircut and Hatching A Sea Turtle

Our Valentine's Day was a very sweet one that started off with snow and a wonderful husband/daddy making pancakes. Next came the most amazing roses and one of them was two buds in one rose (very rare find!!) Grammy was here to enjoy the day with us. We took some fun pics and babysat for some children whose parents were working at the local florist (they are NW members.) Daddy took Mommy out to a little Italian restaurant for dinner and then surprised her with a trip to the first place they ever went together (Steak N Shake milkshakes and a long talk in the car!!) Isnt that sweet? Then we came home and Grammy/John indulged in the ice cream cake that we had ordered for John :) Lots of sweet treats!!

On Weds Feb 13th... we took Bright to get his first haircut at JJ's Kids Cuts in Raleigh. Fully equipped with a playground and lots of toys... Bright played for about 15 mins... then we picked out a movie to watch and he got to ride in the police car below while he was trimmed up!! Bright was a CHAMP... no tears (unlike all of the little fellas in there with us!!) He was hesitant but so very good!! He looks incredibly grown up now and of course, the whole ordeal was much harder on Mommy than anyone else :) Grammy was there to document our adventure... if you need a place to get a great cut in a kid friendly atmosphere... go here....

Last but not least, as you know with Grammy being a retired teacher and Mommy being well, whatever I am :) We were bound to start our science and craft projects early. Grammy got her hands on a sea turtle egg that you put in water and in 3 days it hatches out a baby sea turtle toy. Its like those old bath tub sponge caps that we all had when we were little... only on a bigger scale with educational value. We got one to do now (for all of us to enjoy) and another to use later on as I am teaching Brighton about the world. And yes, I have started collecting lessons, toys and projects for years from now... let's just say its the Grammy in me and we are really excited to learn and grow together :) Check him out below... we have documented his hatching from the beginning for the scrapbook... and of course.. its a little taste of the blessings of S Florida and the amazing wildlife created by the Lord's hand!!

Hey that's neat how you keep this so updated. YOU INSPIRE ME 1. to take more pictures 2. to stay connected more and 3. to seek out holiday themed attire and phots.
Love the Valentine shirt Brighton had on. O-and I figured out how to lock a blog and only allow viewers that I want to see it. Which is a relief, Jon and I were so concerned about the photos of the girls -if I were to put any up. Which I hadn't yet. You'll have to show me how to get hte pictures in the center like you do. :) We are still praying for you. God's preparing the right place for your family right now. :o) It's just not ready yet.
